bmw k1100lt

two weeks ago i bought myself a bmw k1100lt. it got build in 1992 and i bought it with 168.000 km on it.

the condition is good. just needs a new rear tire, new break disks and shoes, two instrument lights and a hand break cylinder piston (leaking, will polish the cylinder). the bike has abs, but it was disconnected when i got it because it was always faulty said the preowner.

at first i wanted to change the lamps in the instrument board. i had to take of the fairing to do this. its quite hard to get the right lamps at the local dealers. then i saw that the mounting of the fairing was broken at the connection to the frame. it cost me 5 euros to fix it, i let it weld from a mechanic in my village.

after changing the instrument lamps the break warning lamps were flashing. i connected the abs system by reconnecting the proper relay and the abs warning lamp also started to burn. it seemed the abs was not working.
i read out the error memory and it seemed the sensors were not working so i measured out the sensors but they seemed physical ok. i thought that maybe the sensor position should get adjusted. i found it quite hard to do that. i found no good tutorial how that should be done. so i left it as it was. finally i got the idea of moisten all electronic plugs with wd40 and voila the abs system was running :D

i had no problem with the abs since then (about 300km) so it seems to be fixed.

the next thing will be a new rear tire. i have a lt with an rs rear rim, in the front original lt. so i drive 110/80-18 in the front and 160/60-18 in the back. i have bridgestone bt021 but will upgrate now to bt023.

im quite lucky with this bike. its very comfy and the performance is good (100 hp/274kg). i need to travel about 180km to vienna (lots of motorway) quite often so it seemed a good bike to me. i like the look of it and i am 193cm tall so the handling of it is for me quite easy.

yesterday i found two bmw citybags in really good condition and 4 keys for 20 euros :D .
now i need to get two z-holders for them. they will cost me about 50 euros .. lol .. but in summary a fantastic price.
maybe someone in austria has some laying around? then write me :)

fire!

fire!

a game i made once with 2 other people on the global game jam 2011 (vienna, austria).
needed 3 days of work and a barrel of mate. the result is quite good, although the gameplay is quite sloppy.

how to play:
you play the wind. press the direction keys in the direction you want to blow the fire. the longer you press in a direction the weaker the wind gets.
hint: do many short presses.
